What is “All on 4” and “Teeth in a Day”?

ALL-ON-4 dental implants allow for a full-arch prosthesis to be permanently attached to both of your jaws. During the surgery, you can have your entire top or bottom row of teeth, or both secured with just 4 implants instead of attaching a dental implant for each missing tooth. Two straight implants are placed in the front of the mouth, and two are positioned at 45-degree angles in the back of the mouth.

Temporary teeth will be put on the implants. Over the next couple of months, the bone fuses around the implant, and the final prosthesis is created with customized teeth that have the shape and color or your own. It is generally made in acrylic denture teeth, however, high-quality porcelain or zirconia are available options. Once implants are fully secured and the healing process is finished (3 to 6 months), your permanent teeth that look and feel like your own will be attached.

Why are the benefits of the All-on-4 procedure?

In addition to the short treatment time frame, All-on-4 Dental Implants have a number of advantages over conventional dentures:

  • You have new teeth in as little as just one day
  • It’s a minimally invasive procedure
  • There’s less pain and swelling
  • No more ill-fitting dentures
  • It eliminates denture adhesives
  • Your new teeth are secure like your natural teeth
  • Fewer dental visits are required
  • It’s cost-effective compared to traditional implants
  • It is a life-changing procedure

With the All-on-4 treatment, you will enjoy eating again!

A full set of dentures allows for about 10% of chewing capacity compared to a full set of natural teeth. This means a softer diet, which may eliminate some of the foods that you’re accustomed to eating. With permanent dental implants, you can regain your self-confidence and 70-90% of your chewing ability. Eat the foods you once enjoyed. More often than not, denture wearers complain that their denture ends up “flopping around a lot.” A denture is a last resort. This state-of-the-art technique is specifically designed for individuals to re-establish their chewing function, stop bone loss and the effects of aging.

Who is a good candidate for the All-on-4 or Teeth in a Day dental procedure?

  • People with several failing or missing teeth.
  • People who are in need of multiple dental implants.
  • People who wear a denture.

Are All-on-4 Dental Implants affordable?

While the costs of dentures or partials may seem much less expensive, when you factor in long term health and stability, and the fact that generally bridges or dentures need to be replaced every 5-10 years, Dental implants are very cost competitive with other tooth replacement choices.  And when you factor in long term oral health and quality of life, implants are a great choice!
